At higher education I studied for a Higher National Diploma in photography at Southern Regional College in Lurgan to which I recently graduated.  The HND consisted of 16 units in a wide range of subjects from Studio photography to press, documentary, darkroom (film) and Architecture photography to name a few. Each unit lasted around 8 weeks with research into past and current photographic techniques and principals.

The HND is well regarded as an industry specific qualification that is recognized worldwide as a professional asset to obtain. The course lasted three years.
